About Smash Fest

Smashfest started on a drive home. I had just finished playing in my first bigger grass volleyball tournament, and I was buzzing — the energy, the people, the competition… I loved every second of it. On the way back, I was talking with the guys I played with about how fun it would be to keep this going back home. I told them we should all link up and play once we got back.

Then one of them said something that changed everything: "Why don't you just start your own tournament? Host one in Sedalia. No one in Sedalia has ever done a grass tournament."

At first, I wasn't sure. Starting a whole tournament? Sounded crazy. But when I got home and talked to the guys I always play volleyball with, every single one of them said the same thing — do it.

So I started brainstorming. Names, ideas, what this could turn into. One word stuck: Smashfest. And from there, the rest is history.

This year, I also gave my life to Christ — and ever since then, Smashfest has grown in ways I could've never imagined. Doors opened, people showed up, and the whole thing has taken off far beyond what I expected. All glory to God. None of this would be possible without Him.

Smashfest isn't just a tournament — it's a community, a vision, and something bigger than me. And this is only the beginning.
